NEW EUROVOX EX1100 PROBLEM!!!

HI PEEPS,

i just bought a brand new eurovox ex1100. ive connected the cable to it. all menus come up but it says "no signal" and power is at 28%. i dont know wots wrong with, was told it works straight out of the box as all software/firmware is installed.

im not very good at technical stuff so i dont have any cables to flash it or wotever.

does anyone know how i can fix this prblem without flashing and stuff??

check your connections>have you put the cable in the rf in>do you have a subed box you can try on the same feed>

I dont think its a flashing problem, I had the same problem with the ex1100...i returned it and got a ex6000 instead ...that worked fine.

my old eurovox works on it fine. i have put the cable in the normal aerial socket using the coax thing.

I forgot to mention the channel list is there with all channels but no picture, just "no signal"

you say the channel list is there who put it there if its the wrong area channel file you will get no signal ,if you have not scanned for your area then factory reset to remove channels then scan for your area by selecting correct symbol rate then scan

ye follow what alex123 has said, if this fails try flashing yourself with a usb pen, i followed a few links in the forum and downloaded sep01.abs file onto a usb pen and it worked on mines,10 mins of fiddling and channels up within 5 mins of rebooting, i'm a grade a noob so try it before you send back box, lee

if the box was already flashed than it may have been scanned for a different area, try to do fast scan (menu->install->fast scan), if you get channels and only free channels work than you'l need to flash box again

THANKS for your help peeps but the solution was simple!

All i needed to do was try it in some1 elses house as for some reason ex1100 boxes need more power for the signal so it wrks elsewhere but not in my house unfortunately.
