EX1100 USB

I have a eurovox black max V.
My dad just bought an EX1100 USB, and wants me to set it up.
Is the only way to get the firmware on it, via a USB stick or can it be done old fashioned way.(lead back of comp, box on standby etc).
Or can i put the firmware for the EX1000SL on it, guessing the only differnce between the boxes is a USB port???
Anyone with experince of this box i would gratefully appreciate any advice.

You dont have the same problem though do you, cant you just download the firmware, Its there, i downloaded it in case i can use it. I dont think i will be able to. Have you got the cable to connect your box to your pc ??? can remember the name of it now.
I was just confused why i couldnt open ex1100 firmware as an application, then it dawned on me after reading a few posts from users with the USB box that a stick might be the only way of getting the firmware on it. And the main prob is i dont have a stick !

Hi m8 your best option is to gat a stick they only cost a couple of quid. did mine via usb took 2 mins

cheers gary, sorted it now mate, got hold of a stick, and yes very easy to do.
Shame about the news about nagra, would be so easy putting new firmware on mates boxes with just a usb stick, no messing with cables, getting it unplugged, bring it round to mine ill sort it, all that. a really good idea
