    Help! Trying to flash EX6000USB2

    Hi
Just bought EX6000 box but having trouble flashing box. Downloaded KURO2_204p and changed name to KURO2.stb onto pen drive, installed into box, did factory reset and it found all the channels (300 +) but could only view free to air channels, all other channels scrambled.
Went to system info and it said:-
    Model: KURO2 JP
    S/W version: 1.01 (Oct 29 2009)
    H/W version: 1.00
    Boot Version: 2.00 (01:51)
    CH Version: EUR001

Can anyone please help as unsure what to do next or where I have gone wrong.

    thanks

when you downloaded the file was it a .rar file, if so you need to extract the file and put the extracted file onto your pen

I have had no experience with the 6000 model so not sure what it says in system info (but yes latest firmwares are dated oct and nov)

you say you renamed the file to KURO2.stb when I have extracted the file it is already named KURO2.stb

        flashing instructions

Step 1. Scroll Up To CHANNEL SEARCH & Press OK

Step 2. Enter The Pin 0000 & Press OK. Make Sure That The SCAN MODE Is Set To POWER SCAN

Step 3. Scroll Down To SYMBOL RATE & Select The Desired Value By Scrolling Right. The UK Currently Uses 2 Symbol Rates, i.e. 6.952 & 6.887 Your Area Will Either Be 6.952 Or 6.887
Step 4. Press the RED RECALL Button To SCAN. The Receiver Will Now Start Scanning The Channels. PLEASE WAIT 5-10 MINUTES FOR THE SCAN TO FINISH

If The Scanning Is Successful, SCAN COMPLETE, PRESS OK TO VIEW Will Be Displayed. A Random Channel Will Now Be Displayed

also when on a channel pressing 8282 on the remote is supposed to open up the secret menu

what file are you wanting to download?
Have you managed to flash your box yet and if so where did you get the firmware?
Having real trouble finding anything for 6000.

is your box flashed so you can view the subscription channels as that option will not be available on the free to air firmware
