Hey,

Just got my eurovox HD today this is my first ever eurovox and im having great difficulty getting it up and running ive read somewhere that i need to flash it? if so can someone please advise me on what to do.

you will need to read these http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-eurovox-9790/ http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-eurovox-9786/ and you can get the firmware from downloads ,. sorry just seen its a 7000 you have this is what you do

when you have downloaded the firmware click to open it, and rename the flash , flash.tbn, put this onto your memory pen then into the back of the box , switch the box off/on with the switch at the back , the box will then reboot ,on the led on the front of the box it should say now booting , open flash , extracting flash then count up from 0 to 100 then reboot , you may have to do a deep scan using the symbol rate for your area 6887 or 6952.

thanks for the reply, so i cant flash it using just a USB? i need this other cable for the ex7000 HD?

no m8 you dont need a cable you use your memory pen i posted the links b4 i saw that it was a hd box you had

You need a usb mini pen type drive if you have not got one you will get one for a few quid on ebay as you dont need a big drive just a small 1 gig is much more than enough and very cheap,,,,,

thanks it seems that it came with updated firmware....and ive done a deep scan and its come up with all the channels...so thank you....also i wondered if anyone knows about if i wanted to add a HDD via usb how easy is it to set up and set up recordings?

Not in the forseable future. The encryption has been on the sat scene for a few years now and no one has cracked it.

Hi, any chance of some help. i seem to have managed to get into a real mess with my new eurovox hd 7000. So i plugged it in last night and did the ez install. I had all the channels on the list but all but the standard terrestrial channels were saying scrambled so i assumed i needed to update the firmware so i downloaded the 03.12.09 firmware, went through the process of putting it on my usb stick then turning the box off and on and the box said it was writing the firmware. However, since the box rebooted all it is saying is 'Invalid Data' on the screen and i am unable to do anything, literally apart from turning the box off and on at the back. The only thing i feel like i may have done is not unzipped the download file properly. Any help!! Very worried i've broken my box!.
