Missing channels

Hi guys, Happy new year and seasonal greetings to you all,

ok down to business, I have noticed for a while that I have a few missing channels, so I looked on the forums here and got the info required to assist in recovering them.

Problem is, my box doesn't seem able to find them, I have done reset to factory settings as mentioned in the sticky at the top of these threads, I have tried to do a deep scan, and thats where my problems lie, I haven't got the option to do a deep scan !!

I have done the power scan using the yellow button, but that only finds half the channels I used to have, I have the fast install option etc on the main menu screen, but unlike the pic shown in the sticky, I haven't got the deep scan option.

I still have to input the codes manually, cos I haven't been able to flash my box, is this connected to a lack of deep scan option, i.e I haven't got the latest firmware ??

check downloads for your make and model,possibly needs updating.

I have ordered a null modem cable from e-bay, checked on these forums to make sure it was the correct one, I have also downloaded the firmware.

When the cable arrives, I will flash the box, and see how it goes, as already stated, it probably is just outdated firmware, also been looking at the Nagra3 posts, seems like I only got a short while left before I have to look at other options, ah well, it's been a good run
