Scrambled?

Hey, Im totally lost with this, I bought a eurovox ex1100 usb, ive did the search in the TP List and it says 80 odd percent....i then did searches in the power scan and fast scan and it says its found a good few channels, most of which i woont normally get, but when i go to watch them it says scrambled, what am i doing wrong, does it need flashed? and what is the most up to date software to download to flash it? Thanks
