Entering an updated key

I am unable to enter a new key as the remote key that selects 'A' is not functioning, is there a piece of software that would do this for me.

take a look in downloads for the latest firmware for your box and flash your box ,then you wont have to enter the codes

Im new to this cable box scene, i had already flashed it but when reading information i saw a post about entering codes and as i had the oct 09 one i thought id try entering it. As it turns out i now realise the firmware does this for me.
