is it a ex5100 pvr clone????

hi guys,

just bought a ex5100 pvr from sat and cable ltd. i can clearly see a heatsink through the grill... is it a clone?? i think so from what i have read but info is sketchy!

i called them and they assured me their boxes are not cloans but....

as it happens it was DOA and they are delivering a new one tomorrow but i suspect it'll be the same...

clone or no clone??? if its a clone it'll brick when i flash yea??

M8, why are you spending ???s on buying a new cable box when nag3 in just around the corner???
Very,very soon your box, like everyone elses will die and will be useless.
If youve sent the box back, get a refund m8, dont waste your money on cable boxes now.

is nagra 3 actually happening or is this just the usual hype. crap on the web for the last year about this. i as a vm customer have had no notice at all for my area on changes (i understand a new card is issued etc) and a friend as a new subscriber, i.e. 3 days ago install, has just installed his box with no issues...

EX5100 Eurovox PVR. This model has been released to combat the cloned EX5000 models.

i dont think there is any clones of your evox m8, there is only 1 firmware in down
loads for your evox, IF it is a clone then it will be bricked

The answer is YES. If you have a clone model, using the original firmware will brick your box.
If youve got a clone box, safe way would be to just add cod*s manually.

can i suggest its sticky'd about nagra 3? i looked over the flashing etc etc a fair bit before i bought and didnt see this. 50 notes down potentially now... my own fault but share the knowledge and all that!

5100 is also cloned. And if it's come from satandcable then it will most likely be a clone.

i challenged them and they said it could bebut didnt matter if i flashed it and they'd change it if it bricked! not sure why but suspect they'll say sod off if actually call after.

so how do i do the codes manually?
