    eurovox ex5100 pvr help

    hi ive got one of these and it needs flashing, ive got up to where you download it and it just stays on com3 and doesnt do anything

    please help getting really pissed off with it am in the manchester area if thats any use

        r u using a usb serial adaptor or just normal rs232 lead m8??

          as well as the above check which com port your lead is set to on your pc, the range is com 1-4 if the connection is not on these then you will have to change it.

            its a usb adapter one does this make a difference

                its the usb serial adapter you need to connect your box to your pc then check the com port in device manager.

                  ive bin on the device manager but cant see the come port what should i click on

                    device manager/ports(ports ltp) double click it should then show the ports that are in use and also the port number do this when your box is connected,if the port that your box is connected to is not in the range of 1-4 then to change the port number right click and select properties, in the pop up box select the tab for port settings then advanced another box will appear in that it will show the port number in a drop down box from there you can change the number to one that is not in use 1-4, then click ok now your box should now communicate with your pc.
