    help PVR ex5000 8%signal

hi all , i need help with my friends eurovox ex5000 and this looks like the site to help me. i have flashed and installed one in my own house now for about three months ,all working great. i then got one for my friend , i flashed it and then gave it to him. he connected it up to find it had a 8% signal .he did a full power scan . and then updated the channels ,no channels come up . he has no splitters and he has the latest v1.1a.he has tried all the symbol rate. but on 6.875 you can c the green lines going up on the power scan.

He is lives out side the city , i live in the city and have a different channel listing .
will a booster work , he has only one box in the house .

i know this question was probably asked but i could not find it anywhere

any help would brill thanking you
    kevin.

6875 is for Ch**us, where is your friend located?

Sounds like Ch**us MMDS alright, I presume its a mesh type aerial? Does he have a power insertor ,(small black box) near his TV? If it is MMDS unfortunately the EX5000 wont work as Ch**us MMDS use a DVB T variant.

He will require a box with a T type tuner, e.g. Eurovox TX, The Box T, Digivox T etc.

top man , thank you very much. i was about to call down there
and waste a day trying to work it out......................

if i get the right box Eurovox TX , its just the same , get the right firmware

Thats it and you wil find all you need for the TX in downloads. The TX requires a loader for the firmware that is there also.

He wont get as many channels as you either, probably around the 90 mark. But all the important ones will be there. But do as said ask him what type of aerial he has and does he have a power inserter, just to verify. But I am 99% sure that will be the case.
