    EX 500 PVR Question

Just got a quick question regarding the Eurovox EX 5000 PVR.

I am going to be buying one in the next couple of weeks, and flashing it etc won't be a problem, but what I haven't come across yet is an aswer to the one last question I have.

Will I need to keep the original Virgin Media receiver connected to the original cable socket, and then go from the VM box into the Eurovox, or do I simply replace the VM box with the new Eurovox receiver? I was under the impression that the splitting of cables was required in some way, but that was purely from a guy I know and not a lot was really said.

Also, I am not too sure whether I was will buying the box with the HDD included. If I decide against it, am I best just going with the same model, or is there a more suitable one out there which is just as good?

    Thanks.

you should use the search button really ! Any way here goes, you can replace the vm box if you wish by directly connecting the new box to the feed but i would recommend that you buy a two way splitter and connect the new box this way as the vm (rented) box will want to talk to the head-end, if you do not want the HD then the Arnet Kryptview is an excellent alternative or just go for the new Eurovox ex1000 or a dreambox.

Hope this answers all you questions.
