Splitter + Cable

Hi all, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new eurovox box tomorrow, and was wondering if i need a certain type of splitter and cable. I already have a cable running to my modem but wasn't sure if it needs to be a particular type or is normal coax usable.

i use satellite cable it holds the signal better but you would need a splitter like this to split the signal into 2
