HELP I've cleared all my channels !!!

Hello all, I purchased a Eurovox ex1000SL off ebay a few weeks ago. My friend taught me all about the set up and what to do. So when the box came, it was 2nd hand, I put in my splitter from my Virgin connection in the wall to my Eurovox Box and my Internet Modem. I then ran a DEEP SCAN and all the channels appeared etc.

Everything was fine, I wasnt gettin channel 4 and ITV and Sky Sports 4 wasnt working great but I could live with that. I tried getting these channels by erasing all channels then running a DEEP SCAN again.

This didnt help but I got all my old channels back and was working as normal.

I then tried it once more to see if I could get the channels, but again I couldnt.

I then realized there was a background noise from my tv on the Eurovox channels which was a bit annoying, so I thought I'd reset and run another scan to see if it would fix the noise.

When i went to clear data on the menu i realized the was a factory default option, so I though ill erase all channels then restore to factory default. I done this then ran a DEEP SCAN.

Now when the channel runs there is no CH NO. and when it finishes no channels appear.

I dont have a clue what I've done, i think maybe ive reset everything in the box.

I am unaware how to fix this or what to do.

Can anyone please help me out?

you need to set the correct symbolrate for your area, depending on who was the original provider it will be either 6887 or 6952
if one doesn't work then try the other (you get this option when you scan)

ok ive went on to menu now and ran deep scan and set rate to 6952, that was the one that was set automatically. it is now scanning the thing i realize is that when scanning it says, CHU NUM, Freq., Progress etc. Were is says CH NUM it used to have 001 or something along those lines, now its blank if that makes any difference ti the problem.

For now its scanning, when finish I will come back with update around 19:00, 7.00PM GMT,

Almost half way threw the scan and still no channels showing up under TP: 000 so dont think this will work either, any other ideas ??? just incase

it will only show the transponder numbers when it is actually scanning them in, and it will only scan them in if you are using the correct symbolrate.
if you say where you are (nearest town) may be able to tell you what symbolrate you are

Ok just in from work, and i let the scan run itself, when the scan finishes you know it goes to user installation and there are no channels or any info showing when i hit update channels (red) it says no transponder to scan. i will now try the deep scan under 6887 alto i dont think that is were the issue lies, i live in BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND, BT14

your symbolrate is 6887

yea it is scanning at the moment on that and channels are appear however they arent appearing like they used to. Here is a example of what they look like, 650MHz -- 6887(SR), the rest are all similar, only thing that changes is the MHz, maybe this will change after I do the scan because I restored factory defaults and it hasnt synced the channels

yes i think this is it, the CH NUM is showing channels and TV is being filled with channels and there names, dont wanna skud it but thanks alot for your help
