I'm still having problems with my eurovox pvr ex5000, I've input my provider id and key codes but the same message is still displayed. Can anyone help please? thanks
Hi,I'm a newbie on these forums but have sucessfully updated my ex5000 by reading several threads, used the keymaster using provider 5c 01 for manchester....maybe try changing your provider code might do, I tried a couple before it worked

Apart from the obvious code problem, are you happy with the performance of you PVR? Mine keeps hanging and needs lots of re-boots.
If your box was working before the code roll, you should not need to do a scan as all the info should still be there. If you deleted all yur chanels for some reason, then you will need to re-scan. Just enter the keys and off you go.
well i rescanned cause i was getting code updating for 24hrs and still no joy,and still the same after re-scanning,symbal rate was correct for my region,but i have no idea where to get keys for my area and where to enter

even if you re-scan the sybol rate should remain. You are getting the "code updating" message because the keys are incorrect. No amount of scanning will correct this until you enter the correct keys. Do a seach for KEYMASTER. there you will find the keys.
