i have not switched to nag3 yet but thought i would jump the ball and switch to paying for my tv before we get shut down.
i have been with vigin/tellywest for many a year and i have:
talk anytime ?25 pcm with basic tv
broadband ?10 pcm
had a chat with virgin about switching to sky because of there better deals .
the nice young lady on the phone put me on hold for about 5 mins then came back and offered me.
the above + full tv package movies and sport a new V+ hd box
for a total monthly cost of ?52.69 , i thought this was very good.
now the down side .............
wife wanted to have the old box for the bedroom so rang customer services to see about getting multi room .
talked to some guy in god knows where and this is what he came back with.
?10 pcm for and extra card
?35 enginners call out fee .
i explained to him about the V+ box being sent on a self install and he said virgin did not supply there hardware like that i also explaind to him that the person who trasfered me to him had just activated my box , with out saying it directly he call me a liar and that any new service needed an enginner.
for all the good done by there retension department and the speed the new box turned up, trouble free setup, i feel once again 1 plonker on the phone has let virgin down again .
ok Quick update:
after a long talk with virgin, 1 nice northern lady she told me it would cost ?5 for the extra box, she transfered me to the correct department, a nice london lad told me its possable cost ?5, put on hold ............................. transfered to not so nice indian chap who told me ?10 plus ?35 for enginner
. after 5 mins arguing with him and asking him to talk to the other 2 departments i got my extra card for ?5.50 pcm and NO enginner.
thats it . fight them and you will get what you want but please stick to the uk centers as off shore ones seem to work from a bit of paper with a list of costs and will not move .
