dont have V+ and recently having issues with basic box on-demand and pixelation and had 3 virgin engineers out to look at. they changed various old connections inside and out and last one suggested removing the link with a 4-way aplifier (thinking it was breaking down) that sends signal to other boxes in the house (old chipped ntl and eurovox, not multi-room). the common problem seemed to be with the 'return path' and 'return power' but this is now fixed. he suggested leaving few days before buying another 4-way adapter. its been fine since but i then thought instead of paying ?10-15 for new amplifier box why not use a splitter so bought one off ebay (2 way 5-2400mhz splitter). due to connection it wouldnt connect directly to the existing inside metal box installed by engineer (tratec: tris-1002AEN 5-1000Mhz, 0.4db) so just swapped them over. no more TV picture probs on main TV/box and on-demand all ok but signal going to other rooms now breaking up regularly. Q - do i need to refix the virgin metal box thing and get connector to add the splitter to it or so i need a different type of splitter? phew apologies for long message but easier than replying with missing info..... cheers
