    connecting sky to open media

Just a theoretical question. If I were to but an openmedia box, could i pick up satellite channels using an existing sky dish? Or would i need a seperate dish? Also, through reading around, sky cant be received on openmedia as far as i'm aware, so what channels do you get?

I currently use dbox for cable, but was interested in the compatability of this box in receiving both satellite and cable at the flick of a switch.

The openemdia box is dm500c & Dm500S , if you check through the dreambox sat section you will find that the dm500S connected to S*y will recieve just the FTA channels.

A sky dish will only pick up 13e,19e and 28.2e so long as it is pointed the right way..the dish is far too small...... You could always cardshare though at 28.2
