just been given a 500s and i dont have a clue about what it does how to set it up and what i need can some one help

The DM500 is a superb piece of kit, it will let you watch Sky TV and loads of other satellite TV packages if you have the appropriate card. If you don't have a card then there are a few channels available that can still be hacked using the Dm500 and appropriate software - but the number of channels that fall into this category are dwindling by the day as TV providers are making their systems much more secure. You can however still access most of it (including Sky UK) if you have your DM500 connected to the Internet and join a cardshare server.
To access the other TV providers you would need to adjust the dish to make it point at the relative satellite.Comment
