better remote control signal on d500/open media dreambox

you know the remote control usually has to be pointed at the device, because the remote is very directional and can still be a pain at times.
well all you have to do is move the receiving led,drill a hole or remove the see through cover on the box.

notice i used the channel down location as i only ever use the remote
now remote works anywhere

on the d500 there is no buttons apart from the standy button... where can you bring the LED out from for this box...?
