    hi

    Can anybody help me? I have an open media box and it is my first time using it. None of the channels are working on it so I don't know how to use it. Please can you help me. It is urgent.

      welcome to dk ld, its not as quick as that to get this running, it takes reading time and you need the correct cables to do this. if its the cable side you are looking to do read in the dreambox 500c section of the forum if it the satelite side read in the as per dreambox satelite section 500s

          not being rude, but wouldnt it have been wise before your purchase said box to do some research so once you got the box you knew what you were doing.

          anyway what exact problem do you have - do you get FTA channels ?

                      Get yourself a crossover ethernet & a USB to 9 pin null modem lead.
                      Don't touch the box until you have read guides in dreambox section
                      Especially; How to flash image using Dream-Up
                      How to FTP fix to your Dreambox
                      Your Op.Med. is basically a Dm500 clone with cable & sat tuners.
                      Start with cable; ensure SW. at rear is at cable position.
                      Flash D.K.1.1 image to box using Dream-Up & Null-Modem lead
                      Read details of DK1.1 menu & scan chls. for your area.
                      You will be able to view all FTA chls. only.
                      For N*L (EIRE) FTP Nagra 2 fix to box.
                      In UK or Chorus cable use Nov 2008 Nagrarom fix(keys may be O/o/D)
                      When ready Re-Boot box & re-start CAM(info in guides.
                      Have fun. Take your time & you'll get there.
                      Any help needed is on here
                      Take a break before you do SAT side, more study req.
