can you get them from maplin? what are they callled, what are the connectors and type of cable used?

Probably get one from maplin, if you wanna pay more for the same stuff. 3 way splitter, with f connectors, and 75Ohm screened coax cable. (I think)

Will someone point on link to me the right things on the maplin site, of what i need to split my cable up 3 ways into 2 boxes and a modem.

As im going to order the boxes today and get them for tommorow then hopefully go to maplin and pic up the splitter, i just dont know what im looking for though

As xant said do not use Maplins for this sort of stuff as their prices are ridiculous. Better off buying a complete three way kit off ebay 3 Way Splitter Kit Cable TV Starview NTL Eurovox DBox on eBay (end time 24-Nov-09 10:49:21 GMT)

For the box that is in another room measure out the length of cable you require. Then go to your local B&Q or similar, (some electrical trade counters will do also), and ask them for that specific length of cable. The name of the cable will either be CT100 or FT100, which ever they have in stock.

Then ask for a couple of twist on F Type connections for the cable and jobs done. If you need instructions on how to terminate them please let us know.

But if you want to go down the Maplins route you can do so by asking for the same products.
