Improve your sites search engine ranking.
SEO your site as much as possible. Your bb software forum will have advice on what to do for that.
Get as many backlinks as possible.
Comment on high ranking blogs and link to your site.
Write articles with links pointing to your site and post them on hundreds of article sites.
Check on forums.digitalpoint.com for seo services and link buildig services. You can get good services for a few $.
When starting threads, use keywords in the title like you would use if you were actually searching for the topic in google.
Create a sitemap and submit it in Google Webmaster Tools.
Contact sites of a similar nature and ask if they want to exchange links, they put your link on their site and you put their link on your site. This is hard to achieve because people might think it's advertising competition but if you find the right sites, ie. liveonsat, you could get a good rankin boost off one link.
Research "Google Pagerank" if you dot already know about it.
Research "search engine optimization techniques".
Googles blog is a good read and they update you on changes to their algorithm.
Work hard on your google presence, seo, link building and onpage seo. It will take you the best part of 1 year to fully achieve a good ranking but it's worth it in the longrun.
