    Did you know.....

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN number in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number has been entered backwards from the card you placed in the machine, the machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

All ATM's carry this emergency sequencer by law.

sorry found out ACPO withdrew the facility, or rather the responce to it was end users coming home drunk and putting the code in backwards also another way was reversing the first two didgits. same result, false alarms.

Why are they urban and not rural myths?

Was the dog sexually assaulted before it was cooked?

Rural myths follow along the lines of welsh farmers wearing button up flys as the sheep recognize the sound of a zipped fly

So, the chinese is an urban myth.
