    SINGING IMPERSONATORS

    hi
i want to book an elvis impersonator and have been in touch with a fella whos very good, ive seen him perform before with johnny cash,,gresat night out,,anyway i have received a quote from this chap to do a 1hour set,or 2 half hour sets, same cost
i want to know if anybody else has hired a tribute act and what were the costs,,i think hes trying to mug me off,but i could be wrong,,he probably has a 1hour journey to get to me and also needs a driver as he dont drive
what would peeps say would be the cost roughly ?

these things vary on reputation and demand mate. i've booked many artists in the past ans the going rate is usually 150-300 notes for a decent act/band. of course it depends on what the workload is i know of 1 father and daughter act who are exceptional and dont stop singing all night from 8 till midnight who can command 700 nicker on a friday and saturday but are happy with 220 for slightly less time on a sunday if you book 4 sundays.
    swings and roundabouts really.
