Erasing dvd+rw

Hi i want to add more files to a dvd+rw using nero. How do i erase the old file i have watched to add new. I managed it once but now can't do it. Nero says i have no room for new files to be added. I just want to drag and drop files to disc as my dvd player will play divx and xvid files. This saves me having to convert them. Hope you get my question thanks all.

Unless you left the disc open mate you cant add files..........

How do i do that. I highlight the files then click delete but they stay on. Must not have left disc open as has been said but can't remember seeing this option, thanks for the quick replies.
