    The easy answer is 'it's an iphone, what did you expect'.

    Did you change the charging block? My heads not with it at the moment, but I think the antenna is either attached to the charge block or underneath it. If there's still some residue on the bottom ribbon connector it could be causing an issue.
    Or, what I'm seeing in my head isn't an iphone. I'll go look at some pictures.......

    Check the connector (top left of pic) for any signs of white, grey or green fuzzy sh!t.

    This pic is a bit big & there's loads of residue. You only need a tiny amount in the wrong place to cause problems.



    Go back & check the gaps between the connector legs. If it looks really bad or you can't shift it, soak it in IPA for an hour.
