Things we did as kids but kids dont do now

Yesterday while out with the missus we passed by a huge pile of daisies and she said she remembered making huge daisy chains when she was a wee girl. It made me think of the things we done and the games we played when we were kids. These things seem to be lost to the modern generation. Heres another two that you never seem to see kids playing anymore. Hunts and british bulldogs.

I saw two bumble bees yesterday and it reminded me of catching them in a jam jar.

jeeso i used to love making daisy chains for my mum and pals etc. also loved rounders, chinese ropes, playing with 2 tennis balls against a wall (ie through your legs, spin around - the girls will know what i mean ), used to make perfume out of rose petals and my mum always said it was gorgeous, hopscotch, badmingtone over a rope between the clothes poles in the garden

I remember lots of games but does anyone remember going for long walks and being able to find a drinking fountain at the side of the road and drinking yourself full, then walking a few yards down the road to the public toilets (which where every where) to take a leak.

Very true lainie girls playing with tennis balls and skipping ropes. Remember the girls used to draw a grid on the street and hop about on it- dont know what that was called.
