tshirtman have you tried lr 2 to 2.4 ohm atomizers and direct dripping, as that's what I'm finding best for th and vapour,(cherry tobacco 18mg mmmmmmm). That lava tube looks like a very cheap provari alternative thanks for finding that.
Micky, yesterday I too had a riva battery fail exactly 1 month from purchase, so just got in on the guarantee.

Hi Peeps, I've read this entire thread a few times now and I'm still confuzzled so bare with me.

      Is this still recommended ?

The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit [Ideal for beginners] ***163;32.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

or is this one better to get

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 901

and with either of them is it just liquid that I'd need to purchase over and above that.

It's been a few months since the last post on this thread and things seem to change quite quickly ie: bigger batteries, tanks and everything else I dont understand about yet . So I'm relying on your up to date knowledge and experience.

Basically I'm looking for a starter kit with a battery that will hopefully last all day and something that doesn't need filled up every few hours, all advice much appreciated.

BTW how is everyone doing on their ecigs ? from reading this thread a few times you all got off to a great start

I would go for the riva 1100, it's got the bigger battery and a 510 fitting, the 510 fitting is the most used and therefore more choice and easier to mod and and get accessories for,
when you order your eliquid I would look at around 18mg strength, it's a middle strength nicotine and a pg/vg mix, you could start vaping with the riva kit and some juice but you may want to try the cartomisers and the duel coil as well, but start with the tank you get in the kit and take it from there. best of luck, and if you don't like the flavour of your juice or the tank system, don't give up there are lots of options, flavours, and suppliers out there to try, it's a bit of trial and error but you'll find your preferred way.

the link shady put up is good if you want the real cig feel in your fingers and your a light smoker, but if your a 30 cigs a day man then you'll need something bigger, otherwise you'll be recharging every 2-3 hours and you'd be going through a lot of cartridges.
have a look at the riva 1100, or the ego-t which is what I use, if there is an option for a bigger battery then take it, if your busy or out of the house most of the day then you will want a cartridge/tank system that you can fill just once and it will last all day or carry a spare that's easy and quick to change, if this is the case then there are several tank systems, the biggest and best is probably the arry tank, for cartridges look at the duel coil cartomisers, and you can get these in xl size, these two systems are the easiest to use, for some good video reviews, have a look on youtube for a guy called igetcha69.

hi guys, didnt notice this thread before!

i have been using this one:

INNOKIN Exclusively 510-T E Cigarette - Innokin Technology

for about 2 months now, its great and i hardly smoke normal cigs anymore (its a shame i need tobacco for a spliff as this is the only reason i buy normal fags now!)

i have tried a few diff flavours and strengths and have settled for 18mb nicotine.

pineapple, strawberry, red bull are my favourites (i got them from libertyflights.co.uk)

not sure what your talking about when you mention cartomizers and dripping etc etc? with mine i just open the cap, fill up the little tank, put the cap back on and thats it?

i think i do need a better/stronger battery though....as the better the battery the better the throat hit? (maybe with a good battery i can go back down to 12mg nicotine?)

also i know dik had the weed flavoured one and said it was crap but has anybody else found anything that is closer to the normal weed found in amsterdam??

i am a little lost with this now, as i have settled but i know i could get a better vape smoke if i knew what to do!

i think most of my juices are pure PG or maybe 80/20 pg/vg mix.....throat hit is good....but i want more flavour!!

                any suggestions?

as for a stronger flavour, have you tried mixing your own juice, it's very easy and there are plenty of eliquid calculators online to help you, and that way you decide on strength of nicotine and flavour,
for more powerful batteries have a look at the lavatube, it's variable voltage (3-6v) and if your using a tank, i believe they work best at around 4.4v, but again it's personal preference.
can't tell you about the Mary Jane flavour, not tried it.

Ok, ive decided todays the day I place my order and hopefully ill be able to pack in tobacco alltogether.

Im looking for a starter/tester kit (to see if it works for me so to speak), can anyone recommend a decent test/starter kit.

Id prefer something with the least effort needed that I can just plug in to a plug or usb socket, given most of my time is spent at the computer anyway.

                            To try it, perhaps:

                            Intro Vapour PRO

would be a good starting point? With the pro plus upgrade and skip on the extra 5 carts for now?

Or would I be best investing more in a better piece of kit now

have to say after using the cheap ones to start with put me off , the battery's are poor the cartages are a pain , if l had my time over l would jump into the better ones and have good battery's and no spill cartages and better vapour
