why do these only last this long ,, ?

they only last about 4 days if not used in a tank as people don't keep them wet enough and burn the filler material causing a burnt taste and blocking them up, in a tank they can last 7 to 10 days of heavy use but then as the heating coil becomes bunged up with carbon they lose flavour and vapour also the filler material gets waxed up causing them to flood and at ?1.50ish it's best to bin em, however some people flush them through and get a bit longer.
The atomisers in the tanks with your kit will be gradually going off as carbon builds up on the coil, but yours cost a lot more to replace, however they can be soaked over night in vodka or IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to help slow the carbon build up and they can also be dry burned to crack off the carbon build up, be careful not to do the dry burn for more than a few seconds at a time as there's a danger of burning out the coil.

At Dik , do you know if its possible to weaken juice down mate , i have tried various tobaco types and find them all too harsh , if i could mix em up a bit an alter the harshness , i may be able to finally find a juice that suits me

Maybe ecigs should get it's own forum here!! No only kidding but getting a lot of use by a few of us guys. And just for info I'm still on them and not bothered about analogs( real cigs) at all must be over 4 months without a fag for me now easy.
Still loving my riva 1100, and different juices don't seem to have it as much now either just tend to drip when needed and have a echomiser or like that for when I'm out! Love the smell of a real cig though mmm but doesn't bother me. My partner still smokes in front if me but hey ho if I can't take that then maybe I should be back on cigs but no thanks enjoying being healthier more Cheers Micky

Have read the thread mate, however the science side of this is somewhat baffling, not sure which ingrediant will weaken the strength/harshness, vg pg vodka?

u can get juice pg that has no taste so just use to dilute and pure nicotine and add to taste and the concentrated taste fluid , sorry about all the ands

Southpaw I quickly went off the tobacco flavours, but when I was on them I found buying some vanilla juice and mixing the 2 made them palatable, also high nic levels make juice harsher so adding some neat vg from boots - find it in the sore throat remedies for 89p called value glycerine might do the trick
Also adding some menthol concentrate will improve tobacco flavours - even if you hated menthol fags, buy crystals from boots crush and add a VERY small amount to your juice or make a concentrate by mixing pg 50/50 by volume with crushed crystals and adding no more than 2 drops per ml of juice to mentholate it

@ smirnoff_rules yes m8, if your mixing it with pg based nic and flavours it'l vape fine without thinning, but if you need to thin it use 20% vodka (smirnoff will do!)

safercigs.co.uk r ok m8 , l got a apl-a580 and its an ace toy m8 , its a few notes but u get 2 of everything , and u need and abottle of fluid to start u off cant say much about any others tho ,and l just ordered another for the wife , been using for about 5 weeks and havnt had one fag (and everyone in the pub uses it too ), so if your doing 30 aday thats alot of money a week m8,, its less than a weeks fag money
