wasp nest in loft advice please

    hi folks

got a very active wasps nest in loft
unfortunately I have a loft conversion and the nest must be right up at the apex
I can see where they are coming in
right up at the top of the roof at the capstones
but having been in the crawl space round about the loft room can only see some dead wasps so the only place it can be is right at the top between the room ceiling and the roof
council wont help because there is no easy access to nest
counted over 60 wasps flying out in under a minute so it must be a biggie
thinking perhaps smoke/fog bombs in the crawl space might do it as I really don't fancy standing on the roof trying to spray down the hole with that many wasps about.
any advice would be greatly appreciated

plenty of aersol foams available only do it late at night when tucked up in bed as they are dormant at night, some sprays if you spray around entrance to nest they carry it to nest and kills them from there,i had a simolar problem in a flat roof and where i sprayed was around 30 feet from nest,
i pulled down ceiling to do insulation on flat roof and found the nest about.
just make sure the one you get will do the same job as you cannot find the nest

We used Rentokil when we had bees/wasps in the chimney stack.

Very professional service but cost us ?100.

if its causing a major problem obviously get it sorted,,if you can live with it till the end of autumn then the nest will be abandoned,,around the end of october,,once abandoned then you could easily sort it yourself

unfortunately the wee ~~~~ers are managing to get inside somehow
                    no idea how
but I have found more than 10 dead ones and 3 live ones in the loft room and shower room today alone
I had assumed that they were coming in the windows but the windows haven't been openned today at all.
so it will be a trip to b&q tonight

I'd splash the cash and get it sorted as they're going to be pissed off wasps once the temperature drops. I ahd a similar thing in my house and I got the council in even though it was a private house. They opened the loft hatch and placed a few smoke bombs on a tray and left the hatch open but closed the room door for 24hrs. When I opened the door there was a carpet of wasps covering the whole floor, must have been thousands of them.

We has this problem a year ago. Big wasps nest in the loft.
Got a couples of bottles of Focus ant/wasp killer powder, only a couple of ?s each.

In the evening squirted both bottles on the nest & roof entrance from where they were comming in from & by next day, all terminated.
