Need to vent some anger!!! Arrgghhh!!!!

Nearly threw my brother in law through a window earlier......

At the in laws for Sunday lunch as we always are, and my niece (4yo) who can be a bit naughty has taken to really hitting my little boy (5yo). Now I can't tell him to hit her back as I always tell him off for being naughty and he knows the difference between right and wrong.

So anyways its always been not too bad as kids always fight. But last week and this she just doesn't care and gets away with it because she is not chastised at all by her parents. Last week I had to say something as it was becoming a joke, anyway they had a go at telling my niece off -obviously with not much success. Then again this week - 3 times she really hit him and 3 times they said - arr don't do that. Then she kicked (literally kicked) him off the couch. I didn't say a word - kust looked with a look as if to say you are taking the p!ss, just let her mum and dad do the usual - although this time he said nothing. I got out of the room as I was fuming and went to make a cup of tea. Then my little boy took retribution and pushed her, and my sister in law and brother in law both in sync said "Hey you, dont push her"........... Well I literally exploded!!!!!!!!

Still fuming now and possibly could of handled it better... What would you of done..??

kids fight m8 you twat your bro in law and all shit breaks loose and while your arguing about it your kids are back to playing again. its a hard call but leave the fighting to the kids they seem to deal with it better than us

Kicked my brother in law off his seat and then said not nice is it. Everytime she hits him I hit you. They won't let her do it again.

i'd deffo have a word with them explaining they should try telling their own kid off..

don't worry, the kid will turn into a shit when it's older, they'll have loads of problems, you on the other hand will reap the rewards of bringing your child up correctly

You can't let other kids hit your kid all the time, family or not. You should av exploded earlier m8. Shoe on the other foot and all, different story, ~~~~ them. Does your missus not say anything to them.

My missus is really calm and always helping her mum in the kitchen an stuff....

ArrGGGGGgggg!!!!!! I know kids always fight and I have always left them to it as you do with kids. But for a few weeks now she knows that nothing happens at all - so she can do whatever she wants...

Will be interesting in the mother in laws next week.. I will be having a quiet word definately.

When you finish the screaming match and finally calm down only to lapse into a six month spell of not talking to each other, the kids will still be playing and wondering WTF is up with the miserable adults.

Some people cant see the trees for the woods m8. It doesn't matter what you say, their kids will always be innocent. Give the little ~~~~er a kick up the arse when no ones looking m8

I have exactly the same problem with my girl and and her cousin.Same sort of thing happened this weekend i told the parents from now on my girl is gonna hit her back twice as hard that was during a big bust up where i then told the parents i was gonna hit him as well.I told my girl to start hitting her back i told her in front of her cousin and her parents .Now its calmed down i couldve acted better but heat of the moment and all that.Anyway long story short it seems to have worked .I sit here now and laugh at how worked up i got ...
