    Blackhill Transmitter - am I seeing things?

    I'm sure a lot of us on here can see the Blackhill Transmitter.

    The other day while driving I thought I saw a third mast!?!

    Can someone who has a line of site go check that I wasn't imagining the extra transmitter!

      It looks brighter than the other two doesn't it.

      I wonder what it's going to be used for...

          I'm in coatbridge so when I look east I just see the 3 masts, the new one must have new bulbs

          I've searched for news on the new one but can't seem to find anything.

                  Reading on that site, it claims that the new mast is going to be 2000 foot tall, surely that's a mistake!!

                  That's almost DOUBLE the height of the current mast.

                  DSO = Digital Switch Over.

                    it links to another site that confirms the height.
                    wish our transmitter at hints sounded that cool!
