to be honest i support our local cancer charity, and a local hospice,
most charities people give to, especially these that advertise give ?2 - ?3 a month, the money goes on advertising and overheads, i prefer the money i give to go direct and not in costs,
also never give to people collecting n the streets, as i'm not sure most people no these people are paid?20- ?30 a day for doing so

on a similar vein, a few days ago Amnesty international were actually advertising a job in ireland using the term "Skilled Chuggers required".
even they are calling it Charity Mugging now

Well as there is a recession on ... my hard earned pounds have gone from helping out in this country to helping out in my city.

As for sending money to help abroad ... forget it ... unless a major disaster has occurred.

1st step to helping out these 3rd world countries would be the shoot the government types who are bleeding their countries dry.

I was watching a program showing the babies covered with flies just last night. I was that shocked I picked up my phone and tried to buy two. I've been using that sticky paper for years and the flies never seem to stick.
