I was at work this morning at a client site when i started to feel quite ill. I had massive abdominal pains and was really suffering.. I had no idea what it was but figured i just had a massive fart trapped or a log jam.
After 10 mins sitting on sh1tter in the disabled toilets hanging onto the hand rail trying desperately to knock out a fart or snap one off i gave in. I pulled up my trollies and staggered back into the office area and fired up a browser to look at the nhs direct symptom checker site, the advice was call 999 immediately. i signalled to the bloke nearby to come over and asked him to take me to the hospital. My grimacing face obviously showed I was in some pain and he kindly obliged.
15 minutes later i am in the A&E and being carted off by the nurses. a CT scan and a healthy dose of morphine later plus some other diclofenac cream that they decided stick up my ring the doctor informed me that they had correctly diagnosed a stuck kidney stone.. wtf, I have never had one of these before.
Whatever they did (apparently it was the cream that was the most effective) sorted me out and the pain began to subside in quite quickly. But that was one very painful experience that I am not looking forward to repeating...
Just thought I would share that little experience with you all.
