    freeview

    If its freeview,then why do we need to pay a tv licence?

          Very Good Question ,

          You would have to ask the BBC as they get all the licence money.

                              only about one sixth of bbc programs are actually on freeview

                              a license fee has been paid for 90 years now

                              here is what it actually pays for

                              and in any case its the uk government that made the license fee law , and continues to do so

                                      In Ireland we pay a tv. license because we have a tv. receiver in the house. Doesn't matter if it's on, off, broken in the garage, waiting to be recycled or fly tipped.
                                      If we had to pay it for watching our own National television station then most of us would be in jail for non payment.

                                                      Dont agree with the license fee but the beebs coverage of the open golf championship is world class- as is their coverage of the wimbledon tennis.
