    What about GiffGaff Mobil Network?

    Hello everybody!

I have never heared about this mobile network until I joined to this forum. I saw that some of you are advertising it, and I would like to ask if it worth to move to this company or not. I mean if the signal later will be good or weak, if the internet quality is good and so on...

I am now with Three, with 10 pounds per month I have 100 UK minutes, 3000 SMS and 500Mb of internet. And with this company would be for the same price 250 UK minutes, and SMS and internet unlimited.

For me the sMS and the Internet that I already have is enough, but the minutes are more than double!!

I would like to listen your opinions, please!

    Cheers!

if you make a lot of phone calls or send alot of texts, then its brillo-pads.. if youve got no mates like me, then its useless as you lose whatever credit you dont use
    Fave replies from various threads

2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

For me it is the same thing, it is a pay as you go SIM, so if I don't finish the credit, I loose it. But 100 minutes I always use it, so it won't be bad few more minutes. And as I said, about internet and SMS I am fine with what I have because I don't finish them...

The mos important for me is to know about the signal quality and the internet 3G quality also.

      Thanks!

But what about the quality signal. Do you have good quality signal, or in ome places it appear that there is no signal and you can only make SOS calls?

It runs on the 02 network ...

you also need a unlocked phone or a phone that will use a 02 sim should be ok ...

calls and texts to other giffgaff users are free if you top up once every 3 months only other thing worth mentioning is if you use a android phone you will probs need to enter the internet settings manually as the setting sent automatically never seem to kick in ... easy enough to do though ...

              Press the Menu key
              Tap Settings
              Tap Wireless & networks

I will see how to do. My girlfriend has a HTC Hero, and I downloades an app called APN Global, and it automatically makes all the changes selecting your mobile network, because before I was not able to do it manually!!

I mean with Three. I even called the customer service and did what they were saying me at the same time (they called me to other number to be able to do it at the same moment). And I couldn't do it.

And with this App, I didn't need to do almost nothing! I am just saying because maube someone will find it a useful app!

But you can do it with any iPhone, can't you? I mean, you don't need to do anything special I think. If yes, would you mind to explain me in private??
