    HDMI/DVI cable quality

is it not time we learned that we are in a digital world, not an analogue one?

i have been reading around and people still seem to think the old rules apply. you gota spend a fortune on a cable or you will not get the quality. put simply, providing the basic construction is sound, there is no evedence that ?100 HDMI/DVI cable is any better than a ?10 one. sure over 50 feet, and then not always, more expensive seems better. but for the basic 1-3meter cable, ?3 is fine for cost and quality. some say that, cheap, cable will not last as long. whilst i am sure this is right, when was the last time you had a cable stop working, without you moving or disturbing it. whatever its cost.

i saw one review, forum comment, that stated the blacks were better with one type of cable, get a grip, that is impossible. perhaps some of us need to look at what DIGITAL actually means, then reappraise some of our views.

ask someone who fits and relies on these type of things, the answer is expensive cables of this type are a waste of money.
below is a test, i make no claim as to its independence, however if you care to look around you will find, nearly, all reviews agree. i know its hard to admit your ?100 cable is no better than one for ?10. that is no reason to continue the myth though.
