    Help Marketing my websites

    Hi all, how are you?

I have some websites, 1 gadgets/green, 1 adult products, 1 hosting, and I am in need of some marketing knowledge, or at least a point in the right direction. I'm a business man/web designer/techy and not a marketing expert.

I know this is a long shot, but the title does say "off beat", so any help would be very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Paul.

well this is a digital tv discussion site bud, your best bet without sounding rude would be the library for free knowledge on marketing...

      Hi Caveman_nige, how are you?

Thanks for your answer, although that's why I posted my question in the "General Discussion > General Chat" section. So without sounding rude, perhaps you should change the subtitle from "Feel free to go off-topic and chat about anything you like!" to something more appropriate.

      Thanks for your time.

      Regards,

      Paul.

in terms of advertisment i gather you mean to increase traffic to your sites. I would imagine you will be on a limited budget, the best thing is to explore everything you can that is free. I use alot of these methods and hits do increase, hoepfully with time your business will allow you to increase your advertising budgets.

Firstly - Google is your friend, make sure you are registered and so when people search your site can come up.
          Submit Your Content

2nd - Gumtree its free to advertise and that never hurts. Always makesure you try and post in a few areas. London been the main one as it is the most popular of the gumtree sites.
Gumtree.com: UK's No. 1 in classifieds - jobs, property, cars and more

3rd - Advertising | Facebook now this one costs a little bit of cash but there are varying options. One of the most popular social network sites so advertisment will get you hits.

4th - Yellow Pages Always a good one, best to ensure you have a business line though to put on as you dont want calls to your personnal phones. (if you dont have a business line look into VOIP phones as an alternative)

5th - Local area, im sure as you know the web is not everything. You will be able to source alot sales just by local advertisement, in whichever paper is local, and social sites etc.

Anyway i hope that is sort of what you are looking for without giving away to many secrets.
But if you have a bigger budget there are a few other methods to increase your sales.
"Imagine i have a blaster ray in my hand"
"But you do have a blaster ray in your hand"
"Well you wont have to test your imagination to much then"

Thank you very much for your clear and helpful comments. As I have never really been involved in Marketing of any type I am very grateful for your concise descriptions.

What would you consider to be a reasonable budget if I were to put more resource into my marketing compain?

Again thankyou, I am very grateful for your taking time to provide positive comments for my cause.

            Very kind regards,

            Paul.
