whats to miss only the postman delivering a bill
dont see the point in paying say 40 quid a month just to have it and not use it

Only problem with landline is Virgin feel that you have to have one to reduce its cost for broadband.
If i could i would do away with mine but under my current package its as cheap to have both.

Hmmm I can't have adsl from my ISP without a landline, wish I could I don't use it at all and the bill is still just under ?90 a quarter.

completely agree, I've tried getting rid of my landline a couple of times,
and every time I contact Virgin I'm told my overall bill will go up, so I've unplugged phone and it's living in a cupboard somewhere.

OK. Right both of you call 150 - select "your think were a bunch of co*onts" option, (3?) ask for "costomer services" - tell that that a "friend/VIP member" recently get rid of their TV package because it now comes cheaper with a "new contract"

Oh if you end up with a new contract, tell them you *WANT* a new modem.

I can't get rid of landline as that is only way how to get internet in our house.
Those mobile internet sticks wont work over here and even if they could that would be more expensive than having landline.

I lost mine years ago, something to do with me ignoring these paper things demanding money.

Never missed it. Got all my tv for free (until N3 hit) & just used a mobile.

My internet comes courtesy of some lovely people in my area with weak passwords on their wifi
