Do you answer witheld numbers

I never answer numbers i don't recognize or are withheld/unknown. I figure if it's really that important they'll send me a text or leave me a voice mail to let me know why they are trying to call me.

I always answer them. I am waiting for a call from a window company so I can get someone round to quote me on a new conservatory (I live in a top floor flat). I want to see how they like me wasting there time.

Hhahhah i like it ,its the same as ido or i answer with hello is that you (allot of times they say yes it is then i say) yes this is me good bye. pissem off .Its a cheek when you pay for ex directory & with held & you still get the calls .

I always answer them, I think I must have been a cat in my last life and curiosity would have deffo killed me.

Me: hello?
Them: Could I speak to Mr Chopps please?
Me: Sure, who's calling?
Them: Blah Blah Ltd.
Me: Sounds interesting, I'll just get him for you, hang on a minute.

Then just put the phone on the table without hanging up. They pay for the call, and while they wait they're not bothering anyone else. 10 mins should do it, then hang up. Unless you can still hear them breathing, then give it another 10.

Well! Sometimes I receive private calls which are important. So, yes... I answer private calls.

However, I am not the typical polite britain person... That is, if I answer the call and it's someone bothering me I just shut down the call in his/her f*cking face.
