I know nowt about sailing, but am a bit confused.
The 2x weights(I'm assuming they are) on starboard are there to keep the boat keeled over slightly to one side ?
When he wants to straighten up,how come he did'nt drop 'em into the water, straighten up,and then pull them up on board ?
Aaahh ! I love the smell of Eeprom in the morning...

if there sand, then they would get wet and weight more.
also, could get damaged in water then buggered for next bridge
might act as a break and make it hang a right.
would be more concerned about the INCREDABLE amont of stress on the mounting point.
would be more safter, to have a hydralic mast to fold down.
or just have a shorter mast.
