    Register of Electors 2012/2013

By law, we are required to give your details, as they appear on the Full Electoral Register.

    What if I don?t register?

You could receive a fine; you could be fined ?1000.00
Lots of people will end up behind bars!!!!!

This is the part I do not understand, the form says,

    NO CHANGES TO YOUR DETAILS?

If all the details on this form are correct, you can confirm this using option A,B or C.

    A: Freephone: 0800
    B: Internet
    C: Text message

This is the part doing my head? What I can not understand is if all details are correct why do I have to take time and confirm details again to the Register of Electors??????????

I would go with all three a,b & C... just to get my point across that nothing has changed and to pi$$ them off...

this is just a declaration that nothing has changed in household....or change made,ie.someone has turned 18,or someone over 18 has moved in/out.

but it is against the law for the householder not to declare if other than householder, someone 18 or above is in household,
as you the householder are denying them the right to vote.
but you have the right not to have the details put on the public register.tick the box.

Why do we have to spend tax payer?s money when it doesn?t make any sense??

This form should be clear to all the people living in household, it should say that if all details are correct you do nothing full stop, why drag on and spend tax payer?s money..

                      I've always selected option D.

Occasionally I get a pair of very scared people knocking on my door because I didn't return the form.

Having a psychotically deranged dog that jumps 8ft straight up at the door comes in handy at times.

Never had a fine or any type of threatening letters.

I've had them knocking on my door and asking me why haven't registered to vote, I tell them that I'm not willing to register as I don't believe the electoral system works as a fair tool of democracy as more than half the registered voters don't return there ballot, and if I where to register then that would validate a system that I don't believe works.

It's not against the law not to register, same as it's not illegal not to vote.
