    Please whinge at ebay

eBay have removed the wildcard search facility and this renders the search even more crippled than it was before.

If enough people whinge then maybe they will put it back.

I used to buy a lot of broken stuff off ebay using this search

      (faul*, dam*, spa*, par*, rep*)

      but I can't anymore, it doesn't work.

You can expand all the terms but that doesn't work either. Suppose I wanted a book that had the date 1700 to 1799 or 1800 to 1899 in the title I used to search for (17*, 18*). With their "new enhanced" search facility this search string now has over 1000 characters in it which is not possible because there is at most a 300 character limit in the search entry box.

People still use ebay??? Do a search on the word and most of the hits are people complaining about being ripped off, and how they will never use them again.

ebay is a 'host' - its members that rip folks off.

no difference to having a car trunk sale in a parking lot!

Actually, Ebay own Paypal, and LOTS of people, including me, have been ripped off by Paypal.

Therefore, Ebay are ripping off people !!

                          SIMPLES!!!
