is the site slow for you ?

started this thread to see if we can find out if the recent lag on the forum is down to a certain provider, i dont think it is tho, please vote which is your provider, and add comments on what problems you are experiencing. might be good to add your speeds up and down to the comments, if yours is not on the list obviously use other and include in your comments who your provider is, also add what browser you are using.

im on vm 20mb i have been getting problems in the chatbox taking ages for shouts to appear and sometimes getting lost in the vastness of cyber space, also when trying to get around the forum its just hanging, also when posting it some times take ages to post, sometimes like about 15 odd seconds for the post to appear ( not long enuff i hear ya all saying ) im using firefox on both lappy win 7 home premium 64 and tower win xp home 32 bit, i have tried ie on me lappy and dk was a bit better not vastly like.

2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

I use several computers to access DK.

Most of the time I'm on VM 20MB, but can also use BT business & EE 3G.

I see intermittent lag on posting replies & hanging on the forum main page. Firefox & Android browser are the only browsers I use. But firefox is slightly worse for hanging.

It's not just DK that's effected. My dad suffers from hanging pages on some forums/websites, he also uses firefox.

It could be a browser issue.

Nothing wrong here, fast as usual. Using Google Chrome on VM 100MB. Looks like me & gmb live fairly close, results both taken from Sheffield server

Edit: OS is Windows 8 to keep Meat Head happy :-D

                i second what shady says

                VM 10 Mb - large i think

                run DK via internet exppoler

1.1 GHZ 496 MB ram 20 GB drive 99% full

                windows XP SP3

when viewing ~~~~ sites use firefox open more than a couple of tabs it comes up

                "script not responding"

do have the orginal processer to reinstall will bring power back to 1.3 GHZ speed.

It's slow now and again, probably 30% of the time, though not right now - I'm using Chrome. It doesn't look like the delivery of the content, more like the building/rendering of the content is slow.

OK Chrome, running on Win7 Ultimate 64 with 16GB RAM and a 6 core processor. My ISP isn't listed, but then again it is the ISP of monopoly. not of choice.

Am on Virgin Media 20mb, using Firefox it seems slow and i have to refresh the page often.
However if i am using my other pc with Chrome loaded its very quick with no problems, am finding Firefox keeps getting worse with each new version though...

Would members be kind enough to edit their posts to include what operating system they use

GastonJ is excluded due to harping onabout Linux

Shady is excluded becasue it going to have the computing power twice the size of that thing in Switserland.
