    Holiday Advice needed.

I am looking to go to Tenerife or similar with the missus and kids in July or sometime near that.

Does anyone know of any good sites that cuts out the middle man?

I recall a few years back I simply paid for my own flight by booking it with the airline company itself.

I used a site (cant recall the name now) that listed the destinations and hotels etc, and where you could actually look around the rooms, and then contact the hotel admin and pay for a room in advance without using a travel agency. And it was very very cheap compared to using a travel agency.

You can even haggle with the hotel owner in emails etc..

    Anyone?

        Try jet2.com
We went to Tenerife with them last year and they've got some smashing hotels over there.

We have been there for the last 4 years at the Geraneos Apts, if you want a diy holiday google Alan Dow, he has quite a few apartments which are great, I use jet2 for the flights and there are plenty of companys that do transfers. The resturaunts and bars are really cheap so it can be a great cheap ish holiday

              Direct flights with Ryanair.
              Travelrepublic.co.uk for hotels
and resort hoppa for your transfers. Been using all 3 for 5 years and saved a fortune i am a family man with 2 kids and save 400-500 when booking all 3 seperate sounds like a head ache but all done online no problems.

                opodo.com for your flights
                trivago.co.uk for your hotel

Then always check package deals, as sometimes these can be cheaper believe it or not!

we have been doing puerto del carmen in lanzarote now for a few years and love it.
check alpharooms for hotels and fly ryanair, its 12euro in a taxi to pdc once you get there
dirt cheap to eat/drink out there so wouldnt bother going anything other than self catering.

Cheap Flights - Compare Airline Tickets with Skyscanner.com is a flight comparison website that checks most (if not all) uk airlines.

You could just cut out the middle man yourself.

Arrange the flight with the airline or go to a cheap flights website. Then call/email the place you want to stay and book.

Any site that does that for you is a middleman, and people's time costs money. To save your money, spend your own time.
