I know there are local government incentives jb but dont have any more details. Call ur mums local authority or email them. I always prefer email personally. I know housing benefit is being taken off local governments and goes to dwp end march. Lots of other changes. Pm me if u want me to see if i can get u any more info.

Just a wee update folks- the surveyor was at the old dears today and everything's kosher. He checked her boiler and its definitely old, and not energy efficient.
They are going to install a Bosch boiler and no money whatsoever will change hands. All she had to do was show the surveyed proof of pension credit.

hi guys i just wanted to update the thread. it was indeed not a con-mum got her new boiler fitted about a month ago and it never cost a penny. it was a government scheme right enough.

if it was a government scheme, surely it would be fairly well publicised and information would come through the post

It's the eco deal. U have to meet a certain criteria but u do get a free boiler. It's not government it the energy company's paying for it and no doubt ur energy bills will go up 2 cover it. U could get any boiler really just depends what company is doing it ? and I am with meathead ideal boilers are better value then worcester

Hi mate. My daughter lives in a rented house and she works part time so is no tax credits and she got a new boiler fitted. Free of charge. I no the other hand have just paid for a new one. Cost 1.105 but that was with a 124 quid programmer. Silly money I know. But 7 years warranty. BaxI duo tec. It's a canny boiler.. cost 400 to get it fitted and commissioned but if your on certain benefits you can get one for nothing

you have to be a home owner or a landlord and on some kind of benefits to get a free one. and for ?1001 you could have got a glow-worm with a 10yr warranty with there fancy programmer
