For a change, instead of watching films, pretend to watch films. Just stare at your screen for a couple of hours and act like you're watching the best film ever. If anyone asks what film you're watching, make up a title and let them go out and look for it. F**k 'em. They're idiots and they don't deserve films anyway.

i agree with maca - a game of thrones is great, also breaking bad, lately i have tended to watch more, series than films, especially if u can grab all the seasons together

If you like si-fi without bullshit fights etc etc then the two I would recommend are Europa Report, and Moon. Two great pure si-fi films If you like a bit of fighting then thi chi men, directed by Keanu Reeves might put you off but its a cracking film otherwise the last Ip man film is also great, though if you not watched the other 2 your need to watch these first.

Completely agree, there's some great series kicking around just now and some coming to an end after many seasons. Try dexter, breaking bad, boardwalk empire and the sopranos.
