    Pandemic ~ Swine Flu

    Hi,

Whose getting rich on this ruse ?
Just over 200 cases in a population of 75 million.

    0 . 0000026 % of the population

Very clever way to increase profits.

Capitalism ~ not sure how we amend the situation.

Probably the pharmaceutical companies which make the vaccines.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

I think your figures are a bit out. There are over 600 cases in Scotland. Within a population of 5 million. Somebody is telling porkies

there was no way they were gonna contain a virus like that.

Q is it worse than any other flu virus we have had?
Q don't people die from the flu virus every year.
Q r the newspapers and pharmacutical companies and politicians just loving this?

I get the feeling it was man made.

Some biolab down south america (where the US has deniability and less chance of infecting its own poulation) producing some stupid weaponised form of influenza and its all gone horribly wrong and leaked into the population.

Not that im saying i believe in any kind of conspiricy theory or any tinfoil hat nonsense but i mean come on, how many countries are actively pursuing bioweapon programs? id place bets on more than a few, i can guarantee the UK has a few projects of its own hidden away. Simply because bioweapons are awesome, they decimate a populaton and leave the surrounding infrastructure untouched and ready to control, allies get vaccinated so theres little to no friendly casualties unless it happens to mutate too much.
Drop in an infection, leave to simmer for a few weeks, fly in the cleanup crews to remove the rotting bodies and begin sanitising the place, ideal warfare.

I doubt SARS was an animal disease, its too closely related to smallpox which was "eradicated" to be conincedence.
Funnily enogh eradicated diseases still gets cultured in various labs around the world to be worked on.

The bonus of influenza is its ability to mutate into different strains, you can essentialy control this in a lab and create all kinds of different effects with it, its the ideal place to start building a bioweapon, i mean it leaks and you can say it was essentialy naturaly occuring.

              Your way off fella:

The World Health Organization says the number of confirmed swine flu cases worldwide has reached 44,287.

WHO says cases increased by more than 10 percent in two days.

Figures provided by the global body show Argentina, Britain, Canada, Chile, China, Philippines and Thailand all reported a large rise in cases.

A total of 93 countries had reported cases to WHO by Friday.

There have been 180 confirmed deaths from the virus since the outbreak began in April.

WHO last week declared swine flu a "moderate" pandemic that would likely continue for 1-2 years.

Im not saying that strains cant be naturaly occuring, but lately theres been more and more outbreaks of a simmilar subtype, these outbreaks seem to cause more harm to healthy adults than to any other sector of the public.

I just see a direct correlation with healthy adults and people able to soldier.

Then theres the factor of pandemic levels being left largely untreated, in that i mean to say why not carpet bomb the population with the vaccine? Its fairly straightforward to manufacture a vaccine for influenza. culture the virus, and then kill it with your choice of chemicals and or heat. the dead virus is harmless yet a persons imune system sees it as a threat and starts manufacturing antibodies to combat it.

I could see the point of witholding a vaccine if it was difficult to manufacture like tetanus, yellow fever or hepatitus B which require far more effort and manipulation to manufacture especialy in lage quantities, but in this case we're talking of growing a batch then boiling it to death before injecting people with it, hardly a difficult feat of engineering.

The only reason for witholding a vaccine is to protect a virus as a weapon, if everyone is immune then it its clearly worthless and all that money spent on RnD goes down the pan.

I remember catching the 1957 Asian flu. I think everyone I knew caught it. Asian flu caused about 2 million deaths. Can't rmember any vaccinations being handed out at the time.

P.s. You cannot carpet bomb with a vaccine in case it flairs up again.

i worked for a drugs company for 18 years before i retired on nce,s ( new chemical entities) and people think they can take a tablet or a jab and you will be cured, im sorry it just dosnt work like that, before i left 5 years ago they were predicting a pandemic then, and the worry was we would not have a drug for it. the flu virus mutates and takes many forms and its useless churning out a vaccine if its for the wrong strain. there are many very bad viruses out there but thankfully they dont transmit to humans easily for now !!, antibiotics as you know only work on bacteria and are totally useless with a virus, but people still go to the doctor for them when they have a cold or flu. the biggest killers i think will be from diabetes and tuberculous, we got rid of that right! no my friends its back, but lets take diabetes's
first, because people are getting fat and our children are getting fat eating crap food. the number of people becoming diabetic is staggering and not just type 2, and tb well have a look its on the increase, but you have got to die of something right!! have a nice day
