Downloads - What is your prefered method

there is a way round the ratio 1.0 as well m8, get a programme called ratio master, does wonders, you can use it to upload @ what ever speed you want to give you a better ratio and fools the torrent forum you use.

exclent m8 cheers for that a will download that and save ma self gettin loads a warnings cause the ratio thing never worked for me a would have to leave ma pc on for days b4 it got to 1.0

Torrents for me been using them for ages, I did try rapidshare and newsgroups, but it's hard to find what you want.

Newsgroups all the way for me, do use rapidshare for somethings but try to avoid torrents like the plague

Usenet (Newsgroups) but I'm finding myself sometimes fallng back onto a few private torrent sites for stuff I can't find on Usenet.

IRC used to be great but these days it's too much hassle compared to other file transfers methods.

Regarding Ratio Master, if it's a decent private server then don't use it, I used it once on a superb private server and was banned within hours
