A few networks have a cancellation fee, but I've found the cost of this is usually only slightly less than waiting it out.

girl at work had same phone as i did c905 with cpw. she had 6 months of her contract to go. went to phones4u and vodaphone bought her out the contract. she got a w995 handset that she wanted and actually gets more texts and mins for her money than she was with cpw.

you can contact your contract company and ask how much to buy out of it. you can also reduce your tariff (thats what i did when i got a new contract to offset some of the cost of the new one).

so i had a c905 via cpw but contract with O2 (i had 3 faulty handsets within 5 months but cpw would not give me a diff handset choice)

went to phones 4 u and took out a new contract for ?20 a month (2 yr contract) to get the w995 handset i wanted. sent the c905 to mazumamobile and got ?100 for it. this also will pay towards new contract.

i have 9 months of original contract with O2 left so 9 x ?35 plus paying ?20 a month but got the money from mazuma etc. in 9 months i will cancel original O2 contract and "up" the ?20 a month one.

            still with me???

ps they couldnt buy me out of my contract as i was less than half way through it at time of getting w995

Why are you miffed with them?
I ask only because contracts work both ways, if your paying for something your not getting then they're in breach of the contract and your able to cancel without a penalty.

I wanted out of my ISP contract with BT and after the secret trials where conducted they breached their own terms of service giving me an out. They insisted i had to pay, i insisted id see them in court, they dropped the issue.

Just read through your contract and find the loophole theres always a loophole.

Its a bit of a petty thing really Chroma, along with my phone contract I get the free broadband package for at home.

Now many moons ago I too out a contract with Freeserve to supply my broadband who then changed to Wanadoo then they were bought by Orange. I had been issued an email address by freeserve previously before I took out my mobile contract. I have always had this email and since Orange have took over they keep deleting or supsending my freeserve account claiming that It was a dial up account so they have the terms to suspend the account I go through this 2 or 3 times a year. Thsi email account dealt with all my banking etc etc and I was inconvienienced from time when it did happen, so I have transferred the important emails to a new account, Im not that bothered about the email account going missing but its something ive ha for 10 years and got a few emails on there of a personal nature, so Ive told them I want my emails back under the data protection act and want to terminate my contract, plus the tarriffs and signal are shiote

                  Rant over
